In July 2024, our journey began: My wife signed a 16-page agreement establishing a male-led relationship, fundamentally changing the hierarchy in our relationship.
We focused on 4 topics: „leisure“, „household“, „clothing“ and „sexuality“. Here is our signed contract, beginning on 19/07/2024:
Introduction
This agreement is made between DOM (dominant part, leader) and SUB (submissive part). Both parties have voluntarily and consensually decided to engage in a male-led relationship (MLR). The purpose of this agreement is to clearly define the roles and responsibilities within this relationship to ensure a harmonious and fulfilling partnership. The agreement is based on mutual respect, trust, and the desire to elevate the relationship to a new level.
Chapter 1: Preamble
This contract is made between DOM (he, dominant part, leader) and SUB (she, submissive part). Both parties have consensually decided to engage in a male-led relationship (MLR), where DOM takes on the role of the dominant leader and SUB the role of the submissive partner.
Voluntariness and Consent
Both parties expressly declare that they have voluntarily and consciously chosen this form of relationship. This agreement is based on mutual respect, trust, and the desire to elevate the relationship to a new level. It is not a form of degradation or purely an SM relationship but a structured partnership where the man functions as the head in various relevant points for the relationship. Consent is of central importance, and both parties must always feel comfortable and respected.
Purpose and Goals of the Agreement
- Definition and Responsibility of a Male Led Relationship
- A male-led relationship means that the man is the head of the relationship and bears the primary responsibility for its functioning. DOM takes the lead in all major decision-making processes, ensuring the stability and continuity of the relationship. It is the express wish of both parties that DOM takes control over everyday tasks and challenges, including unpleasant duties, to lead and guide the relationship.
- DOM commits to caring for SUB in his role as leader and dominant part, providing her with security and support. He is responsible for pampering SUB and ensuring she can relax. DOM acts as a rock, always present and ready to support SUB in all situations. This structure allows SUB to lean on DOM, feel safe and secure, knowing that all significant aspects of the relationship and daily life are managed by DOM.
- Elevating the Partnership to a New Level
- This agreement aims to elevate the partnership to a new, more harmonious level. DOM and SUB have a wonderful, long-term relationship rarely marked by disputes. In the few cases where disputes occurred, they mainly involved clothing and sexuality.
- This agreement ensures that DOM has decision-making authority in these areas to avoid recurring conflicts. SUB should not feel like she has done something wrong or is the cause of discord. By DOM assuming this responsibility, the relationship will become even more frictionless and harmonious, providing a clear foundation that allows both parties to avoid conflicts and develop a stronger, more trusting bond.
Chapter 2: Basic Principles and Values
- Respect and Appreciation
- Both parties commit to always treating each other with respect and appreciation. The dignity and personal boundaries of each individual are always acknowledged and respected.
- Consent and Defined Communication Rights
- All decisions and actions within this relationship are based on consent and voluntariness. Both parties have the right to freely express their opinions on defined topics. These topics are clearly defined in the agreement to consider the needs and wishes of both parties without endangering the structure and harmony of the relationship. - Rules and Consequences
- Clear rules are established that SUB must follow. These rules serve to promote the structure and harmony of the relationship. Non-compliance with the rules may result in corrective measures that align with the agreed boundaries and taboos.
- Continuous Development
- Both parties recognize that personal and joint development is an essential part of the relationship. They commit to continually working on themselves and their partnership to ensure a consistent and fulfilling relationship.

- In this relationship, both parties support each other in their personal and joint goals. DOM ensures stability and leadership, while SUB can rely on her needs and wishes being taken seriously and respected.

- Confidentiality
- The male-led relationship is treated confidentially. Neither party will disclose this form of relationship to third parties without the express consent of the other party. The privacy of both parties is maintained at all times. As the only visible sign of the MLR, SUB wears an ankle bracelet provided by DOM.
